The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious with a balcony and a kitchenette.

The venue is perfect and comfortable, its location is stunning, just next door to the main train station and the old town, cafes, restaurants, bakeries. The staff is attentive and the breakfast is great. Nice that the hotel is in the centre of the city. Thank you for an extra special stay.

I had a fantastic stay in a lovely town, where I stayed in a spacious double room with a separate bedroom and a kitchenette.

Convenient for the Hartz Railway and Mountains; very well located in the town; extremely clean and very comfortable; excellent restaurant; pleasant staff. We enjoyed the visit.

The location is excellent. Room size is great, breakfast is good and staff is friendly. A great location to tour the castle, mountains and to stroll the streets of the town. The dinner restaurant, Altwernigeroeder Kartoffelhaus is very good.

The only issue we had was noise, there was a party in the room off of the lobby, which was under our room and we could hear the music and dj talking until 2:30 in the morning! We did discuss with the hotel and they discounted our fee that night.

The local staff was very efficient and excellent. Huge and neat rooms, the views to the castle were marvelous. the location was picturesque and unbeatable - an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Great location, room very comfortable. However, make sure you request a room the "newer" section of the hotel. Rooms in the "older" section are bigger with a small kitchen, but they smell like smoke. If you do not mind the smell of smoke, then you will be fine. The rooms in the newer section of smaller, but more updated and do not smell like smoke. After the girl switched our room to the newer section, we were very happy with the hotel, and the breakfast was very good too.

We booked a room for 3 adults; yet our 17 year old son had to sleep on a very lumpy pull-out sofa bed.
